A spooky Italian restaurant in the East Village, Foul Witch is known for its moody, atmospheric dining experience—yet its website had room for improvement in both user experience and brand cohesion. As a design exercise, I took on a light redesign, refining its UX, interactivity, and typography to better reflect the restaurant’s mystique and character while ensuring a seamless digital experience.
Project Scope
UX Enhancements
I explored ways to make the website more intuitive and user-friendly, refining the navigation and layout to ensure a seamless browsing experience that matched the effortless charm of the restaurant itself.
Interaction Design
By injecting custom code and interactive elements, I introduced subtle animations and micro-interactions that enhanced engagement while preserving the site’s eerie, understated elegance.
Brand Revamp
To bring the website’s typography more in line with the brand’s identity, I updated the headings to better complement the existing logo, reinforcing the cohesive, mysterious aesthetic that defines Foul Witch.
